Lena Kalisch

Lena Kalisch (* 1989 in Hanover ) is a German - Israeli actress .

Life

Lena Kalisch was born to an Israeli father and grew up with her mother. Originally her first name should have been Yael, but her mother changed her mind at short notice. In 2006/2007 she spent an exchange year with AFS Intercultural Encounters in Venezuela. She met her father at the age of 18. In 2013 she began to study acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and received role lessons from Martin Schwanda and Janusz Cichocki, among others . She completed her studies in 2017. During her studies she played in 2015/16 at the Vienna Volkstheater in Schöne Axt zum Auslichten by Margret Kreidl and in the German-language premiere of God Waits at the Station by Maya Arad as the soldier Yael. 2016/17 she was in The Crucible by Arthur Miller as the Vienna Burgtheater in the role of Susanna Walcott on stage.

In 2017 she was next to Miriam Fussenegger in JA, EH! Beisl, Bier and Bachmann Prize by Stefanie Sargnagel , directed by Christina Tscharyiski, can be seen at the Rabenhof Theater , the production was nominated in the Best Off-Production category as part of the 2017 Nestroy Theater Prize. At the Schauspielhaus Graz she played the role of Amalia in Bernarda Alba's house in the 2017/18 season and the role of Rachel in Old Testament - From the Diary of Mankind . In 2017 she was in front of the camera for the filming of the film Wolkenbruch's miraculous journey into the arms of a Schickse . In the episode The Judgment of the television series Kommissarin Lucas , which first aired in September 2018 , she was seen in the role of the witness Marie Heusler. In the Usedom crime thriller Träume (2019) with Christian Kuchenbuch as Jörn Sievers, she embodied his film daughter Merle. At the Summer Games in Perchtoldsdorf in 2020 she will play the role of Juliet in Romeo and Juliet alongside Valentin Postlmayr as Romeo .
