Liangping

Liangping ( Chinese 梁平区 , Pinyin Liángpíng Qū ) is a municipality in the government- immediate city of Chongqing in the People's Republic of China. It has an area of 1,890 km². The Liangping district was formed in 2016 from the former Lianping district of the same name.

In 2000 and 2010 censuses, Liangping counted 850,064 and 687,525 residents, respectively.
