Bishan ( Chinese  璧山 区 , Pinyin Bìshān Qū ) is a district of the government- direct city ​​of Chongqing in the People's Republic of China . Its area is 912.41 km². In the 2000 census, the population of Bishan was 608,473 and in 2010 it was 586,034.
