Qijiang

Qijiang ( Chinese  綦江 区 , Pinyin Qíjiāng Qū ) is a district of the government- direct city ​​of Chongqing in the People's Republic of China. In the 2000 and 2010 censuses, Qijiang had 962,813 and 801,041 residents, respectively.

After Qijiang was annexed to the dissolved former Wansheng district on October 22, 2011 , the new city district (formerly: district) Qijiang has an area of ​​2747.72 km² and a population of about 1,220,000 people. This results in a population density of 444 inhabitants / km².
