Zhong (Chongqing)

Zhong County

Zhong ( Chinese  忠县 , Pinyin Zhōng Xiàn ) is a Chinese district in the government- direct city ​​of Chongqing . It has an area of ​​2,184 km². In the 2000 and 2010 censuses, Zhong counted 954,075 and 751,424 residents, respectively.

The Shibaozhai , Dingfang Que and Wuming Que sites , which have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2001, are located in the county area .
