The Pengshui Autonomous County of the Miao and Tujia ( Chinese 彭水苗族土家族自治县 , Pinyin Péngshuǐ Miáozú Tǔjiāzú zìzhìxiàn ) is an autonomous county of the Miao (Hmong) and Tujia of the sub -government city of Chongqing in the People's Republic of China . It has an area of 3,903 km². In the 2000 and 2010 censuses, Pengshui recorded 590,228 and 545,094 residents, respectively.
