Qiannan

Location of Qiannan's in Guizhou

The autonomous district of Qiannan of Bouyei and Miao ( 黔南布依族苗族自治州 , Qiánnán Bùyīzú Miáozú zìzhìzhōu ) is located in the south of the Chinese province of Guizhou . Qiannan has an area of 26,214 km² and approx. 3.82 million inhabitants (end of 2004).

Administrative structure

At the district level, Qiannan is composed of two independent cities, nine districts and one autonomous district. These are:

City of Duyun (都勻市), 2278 km², 480,000 inhabitants, district capital, political, cultural and economic center of the autonomous district;
City of Fuquan (福泉市), 1691 km², 310,000 inhabitants;
Libo district (荔波县), 2432 km², 160,000 inhabitants, capital: Yuping municipality (玉屏镇);
Guiding district (贵定县), 1631 km², 270,000 inhabitants, main town: Chengguan municipality (城关镇);
Circle Weng'an (瓮安县), km² in 1974, 440,000 inhabitants;
Circle Dushan (独山县), km² in 2442, 330,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community Chengguan (城关镇);
Pingtang district (平塘县), 2816 km², 300,000 inhabitants, main town: Pinghu municipality (平湖镇);
Luodian district (罗甸县), 3,010 km², 320,000 inhabitants, main town: Longping municipality (龙坪镇);
Changshun County (长顺县), 1,555 km², 260,000 inhabitants, capital: Changzhai Municipality (长寨镇);
Longli district (龙里县), 1518 km², 210,000 inhabitants, capital: Longshan municipality (龙山镇);
Circle Huishui (惠水县), km² in 2464, 430,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community Heping (和平镇);
Autonomous district of Sandu der Sui (三都水族自治县), 2384 km², 310,000 inhabitants, main town: Sanhe municipality (三合镇).
