Lionel Vincent Baldenweg
Lionel Vincent Baldenweg (* 23. July 1977 ) is a Swiss-Australian film music - producer , songwriter and musician .
Life
Lionel Vincent Baldenweg grew up in Australia and Switzerland. His mother is the painter Marie-Claire Baldenweg and his father is the musician Pfuri Baldenweg . In 2004 he founded the Great Garbo label together with his siblings Nora Baldenweg and Diego Baldenweg . Together they have composed and produced music for over 20 feature films and over 300 international advertising campaigns since then. In 2006 they received two awards for best music from the Federal Department of Home Affairs (EDI) and in 2010 the SUISA award for best film music (feature film: 180 ° - Amok) at the Locarno International Film Festival . In 2017 they were nominated for the Oscar- nominated short film La Femme et le TGV with the acting icon Jane Birkin for their film music, as one of 4 finalists, nominated for the "Music + Sound Award" (International).
In 2018 they won the Swiss Film Prize (best film music) for Die kleine Hexe and were nominated for the “Music + Sound Award” (International) as one of 6 finalists for their film music (Die last punchline).
In 2019 they were nominated for their soundtrack for the feature film Zwingli at the World Soundtrack Awards (Public Choice) for “best score of the year”. In the same year they were nominated for an Australian Academy Award - AACTA for "best original music in TV" for their film music for The Unlisted .
Lionel Vincent Baldenweg is a member of the Art Directors Club Switzerland , the European Film Academy , the Swiss Film Academy and the Australian Academy of Cinema & Television Arts (AACTA) .
