Lisa Helwig
Elisabeth Müller (born May 9, 1898 as Elisabeth Helwig in Hamburg , † December 6, 1992 in Munich ) was a German actress .
Life
The daughter of a hotelier attended a seminar school and had been a regular visitor to the performances at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus since she was 15 . Without further acting lessons, she auditioned for the director in 1918. As an apprentice , she made her debut as a mother with child in Hebbels Judith in 1919 .
In 1920 she moved to the theater in Küstrin , then played for two years in Aussig , then at the summer theater in Marienbad , two years at the Neues Theater in Dresden, at the Lobe Theater in Breslau, at the theater in Königgrätzer Straße in Berlin, at the Staatstheater Berlin under Leopold Jessner and finally ten years at the Old Theater in Leipzig. Then she came to the Münchner Kammerspiele under Otto Falckenberg .
During the war she appeared frequently on the Prague stages and made her first film here at the age of 39. Since then she has embodied nice, sometimes eccentric older women in supporting roles in numerous productions. Helwig could still be seen on stage. Until 1974 she played mainly at the Little Comedy Munich, she gave guest appearances at the Münchner Kammerspiele (1953/1954 and 1963/1964) and at the Theater Baden-Baden, among others .
Lisa Helwig was buried in the Munich North Cemetery (UH-B-3) (now abandoned).
