List of incorporations in the town of Gardelegen

With the completion of the incorporation into the city of Gardelegen on January 1, 2011, the Hanseatic city is the third largest city in Germany in terms of area and the largest city in Germany that is not at the same time a state .

The first table shows all former municipalities that were incorporated directly after Gardelegen. The former municipal area is not verifiable in all cases. The municipalities that were incorporated on the same day are listed in alphabetical order.

The second table shows the formerly independent municipalities in alphabetical order which (initially) were not incorporated into the Hanseatic city of Gardelegen, but into another municipality. Roxförde, which in the meantime regained independence, is also listed here.
