List of incorporations in the city of Möckern
With the completion of the incorporation into the city of Möckern on September 1, 2010, the city is the fourth largest city in Germany in terms of area and the second largest city in Germany that is not at the same time a state .
The first table shows all the former municipalities that were incorporated directly after Möckern. The former municipal area is often not verifiable. The municipalities that were incorporated on the same day are listed in alphabetical order.
The second table shows the formerly independent municipalities in alphabetical order, which (initially) were not incorporated into the city of Möckern but into another municipality.
Incorporation into the city of Möckern
On September 30, 1928, from the Gutsbezirk Office Moeckern the Vorwerk Dalchau with the rural community Dalchau, the Vorwerk Zeddenick with the rural community Zeddenick and then remaining from Gutsbezirk Office Moeckern combined with the town Möckern.
Lühe was incorporated in 1950, four municipalities in 2002, Büden and Ziepel in 2003, Hohenziatz in 2004, Zeppernick in 2007, Theeßen in 2008, eleven municipalities in 2009 and seven in 2010.

Outsourcing of a place
The community of Schopsdorf was spun off from the city of Möckern on August 31, 2011 by a decision of the state constitutional court in Dessau-Roßlau.

The incorporation took place in the period from July 1, 1950 to January 1, 1994. The manor districts were amalgamated on October 17, 1928.
