History of the city park: The park was created in 1879 on the initiative of Kommerzienrat Petter Andreas Georg Juel and was expanded in four construction periods, the tower was built in 1888, an excursion restaurant was built in the north of the park in 1889, two ponds were built in 1896, but one of them only one has been preserved, in 1945 the construction of the Soviet cemetery of honor, in 1975 the memorial for the victims of fascism with the Albert Kuntz memorial was built within the Soviet cemetery of honor.
Structural assets in the city park:- Building: excursion restaurant in the north of the park.
- Access: Access: the park can be accessed from all four adjacent streets. Path system: landscaped curved path system, in the area of the fairground and the adjoining rose garden, geometric design with orthogonal paths, with a water-bound ceiling, some curb stones made of red granite still exist.
- Horticulture:
- Water elements: pond with fountain in the southern park.

- Memorial for the victims of fascism (OdF memorial) with Albert Kuntz memorial: semicircular wall with a commemorative plaque at both ends: "IN MEMORY OF THE MURDERED VICTIMS OF FASCHISM HUNGER MARCH APRIL 1945", embedded in the inside of the wall 20 Inscription panels (some with names), in the center of the system a base with a group of figures - prisoner with a Russian soldier (cast bronze), in the axis with a bust of Albert Kuntz (cast bronze).

Vegetable protected goods in the city park:
in the area of the fairground avenues with plane trees (Plantanus × hispanica) along the orthogonal paths, within the compartments individually standing blood beeches (Fagus sylvatica f. Purpurea), bordered by cut hornbeam hedges (Carpinus betulus), valuable old wood stock, more open in the south, more forest-like in the north, made up of, among others, red beech (Fagus sylvatica), blood beech (Fagus sylvatica f. purpurea), winter linden (Tilia cordata), horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum), Oak (Quercus robur), red oak (Quercus rubra), flutter elm (Ulmus laevis), ash (Fraxinus excelsior), hornbeam (Carpinus betulus), Norway maple (Acer platanoides), sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus), Black pine (Pinus nigra) and yew (Taxus baccata).
Other protected assets: Soil relief: especially in the southern part of the park around the pond, fine soil modeling, hill with rocky area south of the fairground. - ↑ Heinrich August Schmidt KG founded in 1837, manufacture of transport systems (elevators, bucket chain excavators), western part of the building, two-storey brick building, cornice, gable roof, architecturally simple hall, eastern wing: brick-faced hall, with large multi-sectioned round arched windows on the gable sides with green glazed facing bricks offset, polygonal masonry, wooden roof on steel trusses with steel supports, skylights (roof lighting triangles), light band on the long side, one eaves side is the outside of an earlier building, anchor heads without decoration. Administration and production annex: brick-faced, arched windows, yellow bricks in the lower part, possibly rich interior fittings inside. Administration annex, chimney and western wing are also listed, no mapping.

Flstk. 1059/10), House 7 (Juelstraße 24, Flstk. 1059/21), House 10 ("Fähnrichhaus", Juelstraße - behind number 24, Flstk. 1059/17), house 11 (Juelstraße - behind number 24, Flstk. 1059/26, formerly Flstk. 1059/14), house 131 (Eilenburger Straße 25, Flstk. 1059/9).
Demolition in 1996/97: House 12, House 13, House 16, House 17, House 18, House 19 and House 20. No monuments - the buildings from the 1930s on the parade ground: House 23 (Flstk. 1059/26) and House 30 ( Flstk. 1059/26). - ↑ School, representative with porphyry plinth, plastered facade, with central projection, arched and rectangular windows, the entrance with vestibule, three aisles, in the hall probably still a mural from the time of origin, flat hipped roof. The gym in the school yard, rubble stone plinth, clinker brick, the vestibule with decorative half-timbering, segmented arched windows with keystones in the hall construction, with pilaster strips. In the auditorium there is still a monumental mural depicting a garden with a Greek temple, 1909. Built as a royal high school in 1883, since 1947 a vocational school.

Former Carpet factory Schütz with two production buildings and a residential / administrative building:
- Building 11: large, multi-part, vertical rectangular windows, structured pilaster strips, partly pilasters, four-story structure, staircase with attic, polygonal protruding staircase on the west side, saddle roof with elongated towers, rubble stone plinth.
- Buildings 7, 8, 9: clinker buildings with simple pilaster strips, oldest building in the complex, building 9 with passage, ground floor quarry stone, segmented arched windows (connected window cornices, sills made of sandstone, sawtooth frieze above the segmental arches), two axes raised, toothed frieze between the ground floor and upper floor, wide roof overhang with profiled rafter heads, buildings 7, 8, 9 - DEMOLITION before 2008.
- Building 14: flat roof with elongated skylight (moving roof landscape), building stone-view, yellow window frame (clinker brick).
- Villa garden: Villa garden with enclosure, grotto and clover-leaf-shaped water basin, terraces as well as space and structure-forming planting, interesting industrial architecture with a character that defines the townscape and its history, partly including older buildings.
