A special feature is the so-called Stachus shopping center in downtown Munich, in which shopping malls and department store locations of several operators are linked to one another via one of the largest underground structures in Europe. Taken together, the Stachus-Passage (sales area 7,800 m²), the Mathäser (33,400 m², with multiplex cinema), the Karstadt am Bahnhofplatz (40,000 m²) and the Kaufhof am Stachus (20,000 m²) form a contiguous shopping area of over 100,000 m². in which all shops and service providers can be reached with dry feet.
