The list of natural monuments in the Neu-Ulm district names the natural monuments in the cities, markets and communities in the Neu-Ulm district in Bavaria . According to Art. 51 Para. 1 No. 4 BayNatschG, the District Office of the Neu-Ulm District is responsible for issuing statutory ordinances on natural monuments (Section 28 BNatSchG).

Extensive natural monuments in the Neu-Ulm district

In the district of Neu-Ulm there are 12 extensive natural monuments with a total area of ​​around 19.5 hectares under protection.

The mouth and stream of the Memminger Ach are one of the few floodplains in the Neu-Ulm district that is occasionally affected by flooding, as a prerequisite for maintaining the existing biodiversity of plants. The dominant stocks are gray alder forest (Alnetum incanae) and reeds (Phragmites communis).
