List of number one hits in Germany (1959)
This list contains all number one hits in Germany in 1959. There were eight number one singles that year.
By May 1959, the charts were compiled by the magazine "Der Automatenmarkt", which essentially evaluated the use of music titles on public jukeboxes. From June 1959 the magazine " Musikmarkt " published the machine charts, the sales charts as well as a list of the best-selling sheet music, the most played radio tracks and the tracks most frequently played by bands. The "German Hit Parade" with its 20 places summarized the results of the individual lists and made it valid for the Federal Republic of Germany, West Berlin and Austria.
