This is a list of cities in Madagascar .
By far the largest agglomeration in Madagascar is Antananarivo with a population of 1,638,291 (as of January 1, 2005). This means that around ten percent of the country's population is concentrated in the capital region.
The following table lists the cities with more than 35,000 inhabitants, the results of the census of June 1, 1975 and August 1, 1993, a calculation for January 1, 2014 and the region to which the city belongs. The population figures refer to the actual city without the suburbs.
