The list of stumbling blocks in Oberharz am Brocken contains all stumbling blocks that were laid by Gunter Demnig in Oberharz am Brocken as part of the art project of the same name . They are intended to commemorate the victims of National Socialism who lived and worked in the community. In the only relocation to date, a stone was relocated at an address in the town of Benneckenstein (Harz) on May 26, 2017 .

Artur Asch lived in Benneckenstein and practiced as a doctor in the hospital in Elbingerode (Harz) . He was married to Elisabeth Asch and had a daughter with her named Marie-Luise. After the National Socialists came to power, he suffered from reprisals, the exact extent of which is not known. From February 16, 1936, he committed suicide. Nothing is known about the fate of his wife and daughter. |
