Preding 1 location KG: Preding |
The church has been a parish church since 1355; it was given its existing form after a fire during the Turkish invasion in 1532 through new buildings in 1699 and 1743, in which Gothic components were still used. To the north of the choir is the Anna Chapel from 1828. The three lower floors of the tower are Gothic, the last floor is Baroque, with an onion and a lantern. A writing on the choir points to the building in 1699 and two renovations in 1914 and 1961, the stone relief of female saints and St. Dionysius is dated around 1300. Another relief from this period (crucifixion group) is located above the entrance at the west portal. The high altar and the side altars are from the Rococo, a Gothic statue of Mary on the high altar carved in Baroque style from the 3rd quarter of the 15th century. Hornegg Castle ObjectID: 3465 |
Tobis 1 location KG: Tobis |
The castle had been in the possession of the Hornecker family, a Salzburg ministerial family, since 1230. At that time the area of the castle belonged to the Archdiocese of Salzburg, later it was part of the Salzburg suffragan diocese Lavant . The Styrian chronicler Ottokar von Horneck is associated with the property, but does not come from here. From 1373 to 1603 the castle was owned by the Saurau family, from 1620 to 1785 it belonged to the Stainz Abbey . It is a three-storey four-wing building with courtyard arcades, the core of which goes back to the 16th century. In the 18th and 19th centuries it was the administrative seat (seat of an advertising district ) for the surrounding area. In 1805 this district (areas of the lower Stainztal and places in the Laßnitztal) was taken over from the Marburger Kreis to the Grazer Kreis . In the 18th century the castle was privileged by a keep . In 1809 it was damaged by French troops. After 1875, the building was extensively redesigned. The eight-sided north tower was equipped with a tower hood and lantern , the later frequent changes of ownership were one of the reasons that the complex was no longer fundamentally renovated. Note: The building is on land owned by EZ 470 KG 61062 Tobis. Because of the similar-sounding name, it can be confused with Dornegg Castle, which is located in the vicinity, east of Groß St. Florian. |
