The Teufelslucke (also Teufelslucken, Fuchsenloch, Fuchsenlucken, Roggendorferhöhle) is a 110 m long layer boundary cave in granite and Eggendorf limestone . The cave is the most important cave hyena nest in Austria from the Young Pleistocene , over 30,000 bones of mammoth , woolly rhinoceros , horse, primal cattle , cave bear , reindeer, giant deer , cave hyena , wolf and various small mammals have been found. The small mammals come from the wool of owls or were prey of the fox and come from the end of the Ice Age and the Holocene . Finds from the Magdalenian and coin finds from the 16th and 19th centuries. 07.10.1964

The Eichmayer Cave (also Eichmaier Cave, Fuchshöhle, Fuchsloch) is a 60 m long cave in the amphibolite on the left bank of the Kleine Krems . The cave is connected to the stone hall (6845/13). In several excavations, the first in 1884, prehistoric and palaeontological finds were recovered and several fireplaces were identified. The flint artifacts were assigned to the Magdalenian . Opened tubular bones from 27 Ice Age mammals and bones from 8 bird species were found. 11/14/1969

The Kohlerhöhle is located on the western slope of the Großer Koller ( 1109  m ) and is a layer joint cave and the largest gypsum cave in the east of the Alps . The cave was opened as a show cave in 1930. The cave is zoologically significant because of its bats. 01/10/1951

The Türkenloch is a 219 m long cave in the main dolomite west of Kleinzell. Location of human skeletal remains, pottery shards and coins. The cave is very significant zoologically. The springtails Pseudosinella voratscheri , Onychiurus cavernicolus and Plusiocampa strouhali cavicola were detected for the first time in the cave, the mite Rhagidia strasseri was found here for the second time shortly after its first description in the Krainer Karst. The cave is home to nine different bat species. 07/19/1967

The Raxeishöhle (also ice cellar) is located north of the Neue Seehütte in the Wetterstein Limestone . It is accessible via a shaft doline, has a length of 65 m and the descent into the hall is covered with snow or ice all year round. Nice ice formations in spring. The cave was opened for tourism in 1934, but nothing of the facilities has survived. December 16, 1966

The Hengstleitenschacht is a 222 m long and 76 m deep cave in the Wetterstein limestone . December 3rd, 1977

The Karthäuserhöhle (also Schiffnerhöhle) is a 116 m long cave in the Gutenstein limestone on the western slope of Schwarzenberg. In the inscription hall you can find inscriptions by the Fathers of the Kartause Gaming , the oldest of the red or black inscriptions dates from 1512. The last prior of the Charterhouse, Stephanus Braun , left his inscription in 1759. The purpose of the inscriptions and the use of the cave are unknown , Repentance, place of exile or refuge would be possible. The cave was forgotten, it was not officially known again until 1926, which had a positive effect on the state of preservation of the inscriptions. 07/11/1960

The Harnischgang is a 672 m (as of 2000) long cave in the Dürrenstein area (Stainzenkogel, 1509  m ). The cave is characterized by the armor surfaces and the two large armor halls. Due to the bat bones finds, the cave is also of zoological interest. 10/08/1974

The Lechnerweid cave is a giant cave system over 5200 m long and 470 m deep in the Dürrenstein area , the upper part of which lies in the Lias-Hierlatz limestone and the lower part in the Noric Dachstein limestone . The cave has a species-rich fauna of small mammals, v. a. an interesting bat population. It is the place where the blind cave beetle Arctaphaenops ilmingi SCHMID (syn. Arctaphaenops angulipennis styriacus WINKLER ) was found. March 28, 1971

The dry hole is a cave over 4000 m (as of 2000) in the Reiflinger Kalk (lying) / Wettersteinkalk (hanging). The entrance hall (50 × 15 × 5 m) serves as a shelter for pilgrims to Mariazell . In the deeper layers, the dry hole is water-bearing, individual parts of the cave are connected to one another by partly long siphons . The cave channel emerges as Eitelgrünbach near the entrance. Due to bat finds and the unconfirmed find of the blind cave beetle Arctaphaenops ilmingi SCHMID zoologically significant. The cave is closed to protect the bats. 04/25/1963
