The list of Portuguese ambassadors to the Soviet Union lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal to the Soviet Union (USSR). The two states maintained direct diplomatic relations between 1974 and the end of the USSR in 1990. Relations went back to the Portuguese-Russian relationship that had existed since 1779 .

In 1974 Portugal opened its embassy in Moscow , which has remained in place even after the transition from the Soviet Union to the Russian Federation in 1990.
