List of Portuguese ambassadors in Austria

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Austria lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Austria . The two states have had diplomatic relations since 1667. These were interrupted three times: briefly between 1822 ( Liberal Revolution in Portugal ) and 1847, during the First World War (1914–1918, resumption of diplomatic relations in 1922), and after Austria's annexation to Nazi Germany (1938–1945, full resumption of diplomatic relations in 1954) .

Portugal maintains its embassy in the Austrian capital Vienna , at Opernring No. 1. There are also Portuguese honorary consulates in Salzburg , Innsbruck , Linz and Graz .
