List of Portuguese ambassadors in Poland
The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Poland lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Poland . The two states have had direct diplomatic relations since 1922. They were interrupted by the Second World War and only resumed after the end of the anti-communist Estado Novo dictatorship in Portugal in 1974. Relationships lasted at least into the 16th century. Then held Damião de Gois 1529-1531 in Poland, where he Portuguese Charge d'Affaires at the Polish court to King Sigismund I was.
In 1923, Portugal opened its own embassy in the Polish capital, Warsaw , which was closed between 1939 and 1945 during World War II and reopened in 1974.
