In 1870 the first Protestant Christians were found in Hinsbeck, mostly Prussian customs officers who lived there. Since the number of Protestant Christians was relatively small, no separate congregation was established. Due to the large number of displaced persons and refugees after the Second World War , the congregation grew quickly, which is why the planning of a separate church was carried out in 1966. The tent church , built according to the plans of the architect Walter Froneberg, was ceremoniously consecrated on March 30th, 1969.

Unfortunately, it is currently not clear whether the current church building is the third or fourth house of worship in Kaldenkirchen. There is evidence that a Gothic church was built on this site between 1450 and 1500 , of which the impressive bell tower is still preserved. Around 1890 the building (except for the bell tower) was completely demolished and replaced by today's new building (based on the plans of the architect Hahnemann from Münster ). On August 24th, 1897 the new church was officially inaugurated. The painting, created by the church painter Heinrich Brey in Geldern between 1906 and 1908, as well as the entire window stock, was restored between 1994 and 1997.

Roman Catholic community St. Lambertus Johann-Finken-Strasse 6, 41334 Nettetal Erioll world.svg 1860 to 1861 The Catholic parish church of St. Lambertus is a three-aisled brick hall church with a polygonal choir ( Vincenz Statz , 1860/61) and the western tower from the 15th century (newly sheathed in 1650/51). It is the center of the island-like core of Leuth together with some neighboring courtyards and the surrounding open spaces and paths (churchyard, footpaths) and shapes the silhouette of the village.
Until the middle of the 19th century, the churchyard was the burial place for Leuth. In 1850, as was common at the time due to new hygienic findings, a new cemetery area outside the old town center was acquired and put into use in 1860. There are still some gravestones from the 17th and 18th centuries in the churchyard. The churchyard is surrounded by a brick wall, which also accompanies the footpath leading from Johannes-Finken-Straße to the choir.

The foundation stone was laid in October 1891, the new neo-Romanesque church “St. Sebastian “was completed in 1893. It was solemnly inaugurated on October 15th, 1893 by the Bishop of Münster, Hermann Dingelstad. In the years 1987 to 1990 the church had to be closed because static errors had to be eliminated during construction. The " old church " remained and was not demolished.

Roman Catholic community To St. Joseph Am Treppchen 2–3, 41334 Nettetal Erioll world.svg 1200 On July 25th, 1471 the Vicarie zu Lobberich was established by a foundation of the married couple Johann von Besell and Katharina von Bocholtz, it was consecrated to Saints Antonius, Fabianus and Sebastianus. Romanesque wall remains (a predecessor church at this location) were dated around 1200, today's Gothic parish church dates (with a few exceptions) from the late 14th to early 15th century. In 1710 the church was redesigned in Baroque style, and the church interior largely regained its Gothic character through the partial destruction of the church's baroque furnishings during the war (as well as in the subsequent period and the removal of the stucco plaster). In 1893 a new building ( St. Sebastian Lobberich ) had become necessary as the number of inhabitants increased by leaps and bounds due to industrialization. The citizens prevented the "old church" from being torn down; it was used as a school church until 1941. During the Second World War the church was partially destroyed, but could be rebuilt thanks to donations from the citizens. In 1967 (again through donations from the citizens) the damage to the interior caused by wanton devastation was removed. For some years now, life in the old church has been supported by the “Old Church Working Group” of the parish of St. Sebastian.
