According to a copy from the Liège archive, a Catholic church is said to have been built in Born in 905 . In 1433 and 1434 St. Peter became a parish church, the choir with the nave was built in the " German Gothic " style. Due to static problems, the supporting arcades were added to the north and south sides of the hall church in 1450 . The church tower was added in the years 1466 to 1467, it was destroyed in 1496 and 1800 by storm damage. In 1802 it was rebuilt in its current form. On March 11th, 1487 St. Peter was incorporated into the Brüggen Kreuzherrenkloster, founded in 1479, and the monastery was closed in 1802.

Between the beginning of October 1479 and May 24th, 1484, the St. Nikolaus monastery church was built as a replacement for the Nikolaus chapel, which was destroyed on July 2nd, 1473. It is a brick - church hall in the style of the mendicant order churches . On April 26th, 1751 the church burned down, but it could be rebuilt by 1756 (using still usable building material). In 1802 the monastery was closed. Between 1962 and 1967 the post office attached to the monastery church was demolished and a new choir room was added.

The three-aisled , cross-vaulted pseudo-basilica stands on the former fortified abandoned cemetery. It was built in 1484 in brick and tuff with a 5/8 end choir . The west tower collapsed in 1830 and was then built as a four-story brick tower in early neo-Gothic forms . The damaged part of the nave was renewed. The glass painting cycle from 1890 comes from a Roermond workshop. The frames in the aisles were added by E. Pauli before 1970.

The St. Barbara Church (St. Barbara Church) was built in 1957-58 within the barracks area of ​​the former 3 Base Ammunition Depot (3 BAD) Brüggen-Bracht of the British armed forces. It is an elongated corrugated iron barrack oriented to the west with a barrel cross-section slightly larger than a semicircle. The interior was renewed in 1965 after a fire.
