Liutrit was bishop in Würzburg from 795 to 802 .

During the short term of office of Liutrit and his successor Egilwart, the two bishops took up the Slavic missionary activity of Berowelf. Churches were built for the Main and Rednitz turns .

Donation activities to the Fulda monastery strained the economic situation of the Würzburg diocese. The privileges that Charlemagne granted the Neustadt am Main monastery resulted in greater autonomy for the monastery and its separation from the diocesan association.
