Cabrera, who started playing tennis at the age of five, prefers hard courts. So far she has mainly played tournaments on the ITF Women's Circuit , where she has already won two titles in singles and one in doubles.
She achieved her greatest successes to date in 2016, when she was able to play her way from a placement above 1000 at the beginning of the year to the top 300 at the end of the year with strong performances. At the beginning of the year she reached the main draw of Launceston International as a qualifier , where she was only just defeated 3: 6, 6: 2 and 3: 6 in the first round of the top seeded Donna Vekić . In May she reached the round of 16 at the $ 50,000 Fukuoka International Women's Tennis 2016 , where she lost 4-6 and 4-6 to Ksenija Lykina .
