Logan Ramsey
Logan Carlisle Ramsey, Jr. (born March 21, 1921 in Long Beach , California - † June 26, 2000 in Los Angeles , California) was an American actor .
Life
Ramsey made his stage debut in 1940 as Bardolph in Henry IV, Part 1 . He made his Broadway debut in 1950 as Christy in The Devil's Disciple at the Royale Theater. As early as 1948 he was seen for the first time on American television in the Ford Theater Hour . In 1951 he was awarded the Clarence Derwent Award as Most Promising Actor . Until the mid-1960s he appeared in Broadway productions and ran the Theater of the Living Arts in Philadelphia with his wife , after which his work shifted to film and television.
Ramsey made his first feature film appearance in Elia Kazan's drama A Face in the Crowd in 1957 , although he was not named in the credits. Ramsey was to certain roles because of its exterior defined ; so he was cast as a southern sheriff, frightened provincial, or religious zealot. He had feature film roles in, among others, Der Gauner , Full Throttle to San Fernando and The Ghosts I Called… . He was on television for over four decades, including a guest appearance in the second season of Raumschiff Enterprise as proconsul Claudius Marcus .
Ramsey was married to actress Anne Ramsey from 1954 until her death in 1988 .
