Louis Hofbauer
Louis Hofbauer (born October 26, 1889 in Yalta , † June 1, 1932 in Munderfing ) was an Austrian painter .
Live and act
His father was Viennese , his mother came from Klosterneuburg . He grew up in the Vienna area and studied in 1905/06 at the graphic teaching and research institute with Otto Prutscher . From 1907 to 1911 he attended the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna under Franz Rumpler , who made it possible for him to spend a longer period in Italy with a grant. He then began exhibiting in Vienna. During the First World War he was the renovation of the Baroque - frescoes of the Olomouc Garrison Church employs. After the war he moved to Straßwalchen , was in Bozen in 1923/24 and lived in Munderfing from 1925. In 1923 he was a co-founder of the Innviertel artists' guild . After his death he was given an urn grave in the Salzburg municipal cemetery , in which Karl Hosaeus was later buried.
