Lush Life ( Eng .: " Lush life") is a song by the Swedish singer Zara Larsson . It was released on June 5, 2015 and reached the top 5 of the respective single charts in Germany , Austria and Switzerland . For over 600,000 copies sold, Lush Life was awarded a triple gold record by the Federal Association of the Music Industry in 2018 .

Musical and content

Lush Life is written in four-four time and has a tempo of 98 beats per minute . In the song, which is written in B flat major , Larsson's vocal range extends from G 3 to B ♭ 4 . In terms of content, Lush Life deals with a carefree summer, the lyrical self enjoys freedom and lightness.

Zara Larsson in Sommarpratarna

Fiete Oberkalkofen from 1 Live compared Larsson with Rihanna and described Lush Life as “Cheesy Electro-Pop from Sweden in a light, sunny garb.” Jan Stremmel from the Süddeutsche Zeitung describes the song as a “pretty Hubba-Bubba hit with somewhat Caribbean-sounding set pieces "And" nice ", but also thinks that Larsson sounds exactly like Rihanna in the song.

Commercial win

Lush Life entered the Swedish single charts shortly after its first release on June 12, 2015 at number 22. In the seventh week of the chart, the song reached number 1 for the first time, making it Larsson's second number one hit in her home country. Lush Life was able to maintain the top position for five weeks and spent a total of 13 weeks in the top 10. Song was awarded five times platinum in Sweden for over 200,000 copies sold.
