The mushrooms from the family of the kernel relatives ( Psathyrellaceae ) have a rather delicate, fragile fruiting body . A characteristic feature of some species is the rapid dissolution of the fruiting bodies when the spores ripen. They are often found as saprobionts on dung or heavily fertilized soil and not mycorrhizal fungi .
features
The hat is initially bell-shaped, the brim is never rolled up. The handle is always in the center of the hat. The lamellae are usually free or grown and not piebald. The spores have a distinct germ pore. The spore powder is colored dark brown or black.
Systematics
Originally the family was called Tintling relatives (Coprinaceae) and contained all types of mushrooms known as Tintlings ( Coprinus sensu lato ). After DNA studies it turned out, however, that Coprinus was polyphyletic and therefore has to be split into the genera Coprinus , Coprinellus and Coprinopsis .
Since the remaining Coprinus species are more closely related to the mushroom relatives (Agaricaceae), the family lost its type and had to be renamed Mürbling relatives (Psathyrellaceae). Even the fertilizers ( Panaeolus ), which were formerly part of the family, do not belong to them, but to the dung mushroom relatives (Bolbitiaceae).
The following genera are part of the pulp relatives:
- Shortened or fibrous lumps ( Psathyrella )
- Saump mushrooms ( Lacrymaria )
- Coprinellus
-
Coprinopsis
- Woodpecker Tintling ( Coprinopsis picacea )
