Macclenny is a city and also the county seat of Baker County in the US state of Florida with 6374 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Macclenny is about 40 km west of Jacksonville .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 6,374 inhabitants were distributed over 2,335 households. The population density was 749.9 inh / km². 78.0% of the population identified themselves as whites, 17.9% as African American , 0.5% as Indians and 0.7% as Asian Americans . 0.7% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.2% to several ethnic groups. 2.5% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 there were children under the age of 18 in 43.4% of all households and persons aged 65 and over lived in 24.1% of all households. 72.2% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.77 people and the average family size was 3.27 people.
31.6% of the population were younger than 20 years, 29.4% were 20 to 39 years old, 22.7% were 40 to 59 years old, and 16.3% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 32 years. 48.3% of the population were male and 51.7% were female.
The median annual income was $ 31,810, with 19.9% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the first language of 96.44% of the population and 3.56% spoke Spanish .

On August 21, 1986, the Old Baker County Courthouse was inscribed on the National Register of Historic Places .
