The Jacksonville Airport ( Jacksonville International Airport ) is one of three airports in the city of Jacksonville in the northeast of the US state of Florida .
Airlines and Destinations
Jacksonville International Airport is used by the airlines Allegiant , American Airlines / American Eagle , Delta Air Lines / Delta Connection , Frontier Airlines , Jetblue Airways , Southwest Airlines , Spirit Airlines and United Airlines / United Express .
34 destinations in the United States are served, including the hubs of the individual airlines. The only airline that serves the airport with medium- haul aircraft is Delta Airlines . It connects the coastal city with its Atlanta hub seven times a day, partly with a Boeing 757 and partly with a Boeing 737-900 .
Although the airport is officially called Jacksonville International Airport , it is only served by national airlines. At times, Air Canada flew to Toronto .

Incidents
- On December 6, 1984, an Embraer EMB 110P1 (N96PB) of the Princetown-Boston Airline broke apart shortly after taking off from Jacksonville Airport and fell to the ground. All 13 occupants of the machine were killed in the crash. A structural failure in the elevator area was found (see also PBA flight 1039 ) .
