The Tallahassee International Airport (until June 2015: Tallahassee Regional Airport , originally Tallahassee Municipal Airport ) is the commercial airport in the US city of Tallahassee in the state of Florida .

history

The airport was inaugurated as Tallahassee Municipal Airport on April 23, 1961, replacing Dale Mabry Field , which opened in 1929 and closed that same year and then demolished. The Tallahassee Community College is located on the site of Dale Mabry Field .

In December 1989, a new terminal, costing about $ 33 million, was opened.
