Machhapuchchhre ( Nepali माछापुछ्रे ) is a Gaunpalika , a rural community, and was a Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Kaski District of Gandaki Province in central Nepal .
The community was named after the neighboring Machapucharé mountain . It is located 17 km north of Pokhara in the high valley of the Seti Gandaki in the Annapurna Himal . It is framed by the Machapucharé, Annapurna III and Annapurna IV mountains .

The current municipality of Machhapuchchhre had 1729 inhabitants (794 of them male) in 395 households at the 2011 census.
