The Magerwiese near Potshausen is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Ostrhauderfehn in the district of Leer .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG WE 116 is 3.9 hectares in size. It is almost congruent with the FFH area "Magerwiesen bei Potshausen". The area has been a nature reserve since March 16, 1973. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Leer.
The protected area north of the village of Potshausen in Jümmiger Hammrich , which belongs to Ostrhauderfehn, protects a naturally cultivated poor meadow on alternately moist to alternately wet flat bog peat . The meadow is shaped as a borst grass lawn with transitions to the pipe grass meadow. Here u. a. Lung gentian , millet sedge , large meadow button , devil's bite and thread sedge . In the southeast, a strip of Gagelstrauch borders the protected area, in the north and west there is a wooded area.
The nature reserve is bordered to the north and west service roads . In the northeast, the area is bounded by a ditch that connects the area to the Terheider Schloot, which later flows into the Leda .
