Malterhausen is a district of the municipality Niedergörsdorf in the district of Teltow-Fläming in the state of Brandenburg .

history

In the village square pits from the Bronze Age were found, the first mention was in 1225 as "Malterhusen". According to old records, the "village" initially only consisted of a small cat. A man named Malter set up camp there, hence the name Malter sin Husen, which was later renamed Malterhausen. The piece of land that he called his own and from whose point Malterhausen built itself up was the highest point in the village, houses are still there today (next to the cemetery). In 1400 the place was desolate . From 1561 the area around the desert village was again cultivated by farmers from the area. In 1702 the district was given as a fief, in 1708 the place was settled again. From 1816 the place belonged to Prussia. From 1992 it was part of the office and from 1998 part of the Niedergörsdorf community .

The place

Malterhausen is ten kilometers west of Jüterbog and five kilometers northwest of Niedergörsdorf . The neighboring towns are Lindow , Kaltenborn , Altes Lager and Tiefenbrunnen . The square village was built from 1708 with a manor house and chapel. The chapel was demolished in 1883. Malterhausen expanded in the first half of the 19th century in a northerly direction, in the second half in a southerly direction. From 1936 the development settlement for employees of the Niedergörsdorf airfield was built.

The place is characterized by agriculture. Two LPGs were founded in 1954 and 1957 . These were merged with the LPGs in Lindow in 1960.
