The place Blönsdorf is a district of Niedergörsdorf . The place is ten kilometers from Niedergörsdorf and fourteen kilometers west of Jüterbog .

history

The local area was already settled in the Bronze Age. Slavs later settled here , the place name contains the personal name Blödin. In the Middle Ages, the place belonged to the Zahna rule, from 1436 to the Zahna office . This was combined with the Wittenberg Office between 1486 and 1490 . From 1816 he belonged to the Wittenberg district of the Prussian province of Saxony . After the Second World War, the Jüterbog district came into being in 1952 . From 1992 he was part of the Niedergörsdorf office . Since December 31, 1997 it has been part of the Niedergörsdorf community.

In 1841 the place was connected to the Berlin-Anhalt Railway . The place developed, there were two brickworks, an imperial post office, a savings bank and in 1906 a steam dairy.

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent communities Dellichow, Kurztipsdorf and Mellnsdorf were incorporated.

Buildings

Village church

The village church was built from 1911 to 1912. Remnants of the medieval church were reused. The church is the newest construction of a church in the area and an example of the style of the homeland security movement .

In front of the Thomas-Müntzer-School at Dorfstraße 22 there is the Plastic Playing Children . The bronze sculpture was erected in 1968 and is a listed building.
