Career

society

Diallo's career began in his native Mali, where he played for Center Salif Keita until June 2003 . He then moved to Algeria and signed with USM Alger . There he was under contract until the winter break of the 2004/05 season. In January 2006 he signed a contract with the traditional French club FC Nantes in Ligue 1 . The transfer fee at that time was € 700,000. On January 12, 2005, he made his debut in the French top division against SC Bastia . At that time, FCN coach changed him in the 78th minute for Mamadou Bagayoko . Two game days later, on January 22nd, the striker scored his first league goal on European soil. This was not enough against FC Toulouse and after 1-0 lead Nantes lost 2-1. In the green and yellow , Diallo quickly became a regular alongside compatriot Mamadou Bagayoko. After leaving the following season, he was number 1 in the club's storm center and came to 35 missions in 2005/06 . Only goalkeeper Mickaël Landreau played more games. With ten league goals, Diallo was also by far the best scorer on his team. In the league it was enough to stay safe. At the end of the 2006/07 season , Nantes rose from bottom of the table with the club. Diallo was together with teammate Dimitri Payet again the best attacker of his team, but he only got four goals in Ligue 1. Before the start of the season there was bloodletting and departures such as Habib Bamogo and Jérémy Toulalan could not be compensated. The following season Diallo decided to leave France again and signed with the Qatar Sports Club . There it only lasted a year and he joined the Al-Jazira Club . In January 2009 the striker returned to the French premier league, Le Havre AC . He quickly became a regular again, but could not prevent relegation to Ligue 2 . In 2011 he moved to league rivals CS Sedan and two years later to Stade Laval . From 2015 to 2017 Diallo successfully hunted goals for AFC Tubize . For the 2017/18 season he moved on to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise , a second division club from Brussels .

National team

Diallo has been Mali 's national team player since 2004 . He was previously a junior selection player and participated in the 1999 U-17 World Cup in New Zealand. With Mali he took part in the 2004 Olympic Games . He scored his first goal on February 6, 2007 in the 3-1 victory of his team against the selection of Lithuania . He was nominated for the Africa Cup of 2008 when Mali failed in the group stage due to the poor goal difference. The striker made two substitutions during the tournament. Diallo made his debut at AM on January 25, 2008, when coach Jean-François Jodar replaced him in the 74th minute for Dramane Traoré . Two years later he was again in Mali's squad at the African Cup of Nations in Angola . But again it was only enough for two short assignments.
