Mamut Dutch Open 2005

The Mamut Dutch Open 2005 took place from May 31 to June 5, 2005 in Almere in the Netherlands . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2004/05 and belonged to the 1 ½ Star category . It was endowed with $ 15,000. The women's tournament was part of the 2004/05 WSA World Tour and was endowed with $ 31,000. It belonged to the Silver 25 category .

Bradley Ball defeated Davide Bianchetti in the final with 9:11, 11: 1, 11: 5, 6:11 and 11: 6. It was his eleventh title win on the World Tour. Last year's winner Laurens Jan Anjema was eliminated in the first round. In the women's category, Nicol David prevailed against Linda Elriani with 4: 9, 2: 9, 9: 3, 9: 4 and 9: 3. David won her sixth career title. Last year's winner Natalie Grinham was eliminated in the semi-finals against Linda Elriani.

The fields of participation in the men's and women's competition consisted of 16 players each, four of which were intended for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. Per Wildcard got Tom Hoevenaars a spot in the main draw for the men.
