Marcello Giuliani

Marcello Giuliani (born September 4, 1967 in Avezzano ) is an Italian fusion musician ( electric bass , also guitar ), songwriter and music producer .

As a bass player, Giuliani was significantly influenced by Marcus Miller and Jaco Pastorius . Since 1991 he has been part of Malcolm Braff's trio . With keyboardist Pierre Audétat , drummer Christophe Calpini , rappers Nya and Ndagijé and DJ Goo, he founded the multicultural group Silent Majority in 1992 , with which he recorded two albums and an EP . Also since 1992 he worked with the electro jazz musician Erik Truffaz ; since 1997 he has been part of his band. He also played with Malia , Stephan Eicher , Jane Birkin , Étienne Daho , François Lindemann , Ben Sidran , Sylvie Vartan , Françoise Hardy , Anna Aaron , Fredrika Stahl and Sophie Hunger , with whom he can also be heard on albums. Tom Lord lists a total of 21 recordings in the field of jazz between 1991 and 2015.
