Athletic career

Margarita Mukaschewa gained her first experience in international championships at the Asian Championships 2007 in the Jordanian capital Amman , where she finished fifth in the 800-meter run in 2: 16.44 minutes and with the Kazakh 4-by-400-meter Season won the bronze medal behind India and Japan. She then took part in the Summer Universiade in Bangkok for the first time and was eliminated there in 2: 12.16 minutes in the first round. In 2013 she took part in the student world games in Kazan for the fourth time and won there with a new national record of 1: 58.96 minutes. In the following year she successfully defended her title over 800 meters at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, and finished sixth in the Kazakh relay in 3: 36.83 minutes. Thereupon Mukaschewa temporarily ended her sports career and worked as a sports administrator until 2016 before she decided to go back to professional sports in 2016.

In the course of the year she qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she was eliminated in the first round in 2: 00.97 min . Two years later she again took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta , where she won the silver medal in 2: 02.40 minutes behind the Chinese Wang Chunyu .
