Mark Wayne Cockerell (born April 24, 1962 in Burbank , California ) is a retired American figure skater .
Cockerell competed in a single run . In 1976 he became the first ever figure skating junior world champion . After he was third in the national championships in 1983 and 1984 , he finished second in 1985. With these results he qualified for the world championships in those years. There he was 14th in 1983 , 13th in 1984 and 8th in 1985 .
Cockerell was also an archer and a pilot.
