Nobunari Oda ( Japanese 織田 信 成 , Oda Nobunari ; born March 25, 1987 in Takatsuki , Osaka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese figure skater who started in a single run . He is the 2006 four continents champion .
Personal
Nobunari Oda is the 17th generation of the direct descendant of Oda Nobunaga , one of the most powerful daimyos during the Sengoku period .
He is married to his longtime girlfriend Mayu. They have two sons together.
Career
In 2005 Oda became the second Japanese after Daisuke Takahashi to be Junior World Champion . A year later he won the four continents championships and was fourth at his first appearance at the senior world championships . In 2009 he became the Japanese champion for the first time . At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , he finished seventh.
Oda started, like Daisuke Takahashi, for the club of the Kansai University and was coached by Lee Barkell and his mother Noriko Oda.
