Daniel Samohin ( Hebrew דניאל סמוכין; * March 12, 1998 in Tel Aviv ) is an Israeli figure skater who starts in a single run .
Career
Daniel Samohin made his international debut at the Junior Grand Prix in Mexico in 2013 and finished third straight away.
In 2015 Samohin made his debut at European Championships . In Stockholm he reached tenth place. At the 2016 European Championships , he improved to seventh place.
In 2016 Samohin became the first Israeli junior world champion in Debrecen . After the short program he was still in ninth place before he fought his way to the title with what was by far the best freestyle, which contained three successfully landed quadruple jumps.
Samohin's trainer is his father, Igor Samohin . His mother Irina Samohina is the choreographer . His brother Stanislav is also a figure skater.
