Mark Rummukainen (born February 19, 1982 in Canberra ) is an Australian ice hockey player who has been under contract with CBR Brave in the Australian Ice Hockey League since 2014 .

Career

Mark Rummukainen began his career in his hometown Canberra , where he played with the local Knights in the Australian Ice Hockey League since 2000 . After spending the 2006 and 2007 seasons with the Brisbane Blue Tongues , he returned to the Canberra Knights in 2008 and played there until 2013, when the Knights had to stop playing for financial reasons. Since 2014 he has been on the ice at the new club from Canberra's suburb of Phillip , CBR Brave , where he acts as team captain.

International

For Australia , Rummukainen took part in the junior division of Asia-Oceania Division I of the U18 World Junior Championship in 2000 and the U20-D World Championship and, after switching to the current division system, in the U20 World Championship of Division III 2001 .

In the men's field, he was in his country's squad for the first time at the 2001 Division II World Championships . Also in 2002 , 2003 , 2004 , 2005 , when he was the best goal setter of the tournament, in 2006 , 2007 and 2008 he represented his colors in Division II. In 2008, he achieved the first promotion in the "Aussies" by winning the home tournament in Newcastle the Division I. There was Rummukainen but not used, and he played for the immediate descent of Australians also in 2010 and 2011 in Division II. after 2011 during a new home tournament, this time in Melbourne , again reached the summit, he joined in 2012 for the first time in Division I, but had to relegate his team immediately, so that in 2014 and 2016 he was once again on the ice in Division II.
