Marke is a district of the town of Raguhn-Jeßnitz in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt .

Marke is located between Dessau-Roßlau and Bitterfeld-Wolfen in the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve .
history
Brand was first mentioned in a document as the Nauendorf brand in 1549 .
On January 1, 2010, the previously independent communities of Marke, Altjeßnitz , Retzau , Schierau , Thurland and Tornau vor der Heide as well as the cities of Jeßnitz (Anhalt) and Raguhn merged to form the city of Raguhn-Jeßnitz. At the same time, the Raguhn administrative community , to which the brand belonged, was dissolved.

West of Marke, the federal motorway 9 from Leipzig to Berlin and the federal highway 184 (Bitterfeld - Dessau) run in the immediate vicinity . The Marke stop is on the Trebnitz – Leipzig railway line , about 1.5 kilometers north of the village and is a stop for regional trains on this route.
