Markus Eichenberger (born August 4, 1957 in Aarau , Canton Aargau ) is a Swiss clarinetist and saxophonist .

biography

After completing his professional training as a photographer , he trained as a teacher for early musical education and obtained an EMV brass music conductor diploma. During this time he worked as a department store salesman, teacher for early musical education and, since 1982, as an instrumental teacher for clarinet and saxophone at the Zurich Unterland MSZU music school . Eichenberger lives in Zurich and Menzberg .

Since 1977 he has been working as a clarinetist and partly as a saxophonist almost exclusively with improvised music in various groups and projects. The focus is on solo work, duo playing and improvisation in large formations, with particular emphasis on the “Domino Concept For Orchestra” project. Eichenberger is a member of the Workshop for Improvised Music (WIM) in Zurich and has performed at various festivals, including:
