Matevž Skok (born September 2, 1986 in Celje , SR Slovenia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian handball goalkeeper .

The 1.88 m tall and 95 kg heavy Skok has been in the squad of the Slovenian club RK Gorenje Velenje since 2001 . In 2009 he was Slovenian champion and 2003 cup winner. With Velenje he reached u. a. the semi-finals in the EHF European Cup Winners' Cup 2003/04 , the final in the EHF Cup 2008/09 , the round of 16 in the EHF Champions League 2009/10 and the quarterfinals in the EHF Cup 2010/11 . From 2011 he was in goal for Celje Pivovarna Lasko , with whom he won the championship in 2014 and 2015 and the cup in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Internationally, he reached the semi-finals in the EHF European Cup Winners' Cup 2011/12 and the round of 16 in the EHF Champions League in 2012/13 and 2013/14 . For the 2015/16 season he moved to the German Bundesliga club TuS N-Lübbecke . In 2016 he joined the Croatian club RK Zagreb . In February 2018 he moved to the Portuguese first division club Sporting Lisbon . With Sporting Lisbon he won the Portuguese championship in 2018.

Matevž Skok is part of the Slovenian national team and has played 79 international matches so far . He was in the extended squad for the European Championships in 2010 and 2012 and the World Cup in 2013 , but was ultimately not nominated for the tournaments. (As of August 15, 2015) He was a member of the Slovenian squad at the 2016 Olympic Games .
