Matthew Bennett (born November 13, 1991 in Massapequa , New York ) is an American actor . He is best known for his portrayal of Robbie Shapiro in the Nickelodeon series Victorious .

Life

Bennett began his acting training with a Long Island- based Way Off Broadway company. He made his first appearance in The Yard . He later continued his training with the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York .

After appearing in commercials, Bennett made a guest appearance as Greg on Comedy Central 's series Michael & Michael Have Issues in 2009 .

Together with Bayou Bennett and Daniel Lir, he wrote the script for the short film Text Me , in which he also starred. Text Me received the Best Comedy award at the Third Screen Film Festival and the Short Film Competition .

In 2010, Bennett appeared in the film The Virginity Hit . In an interview, Bennett said that the producer gave the cast cameras to record anything in their spare time. According to Bennett, 20% of the film was shot from the script, the other scenes were shot by the actors themselves. The Virginity Hit was produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay .

From 2010 to 2013 Bennett starred in the American television series Victorious . In the series developed by Dan Schneider , he played the role of Robbie Shapiro . Like all other leading actors of Victorious , he played in the crossover between Victorious and iCarly, also produced by Dan Schneider . In 2015 he played the half-brother of Howard Wollowitz for the first time in the series The Big Bang Theory .
