Matthew William "Matt" Bradley (born June 13, 1978 in Stittsville , Ontario ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player and current scout , who played 722 games for the San Jose Sharks , Pittsburgh Penguins , Washington Capitals and Florida Panthers played in the National Hockey League on the right winger position .
Career
The 1.91 m tall striker began his career with the Kingston Frontenacs in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League before he was selected in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft as 102nd in the fourth round by the San Jose Sharks .
After two years with the Kentucky Thoroughblades , an AHL - farm team of the Sharks, the right shooter graduated in the 2000/01 season his first NHL inserts for San Jose, where he soon became a regular player. On March 1, 2003 Bradley was transferred to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange with Wayne Primeau . A year later he moved to the Washington Capitals , for which he was on the ice from the 2005/06 season and has earned a regular place there in recent years. He had his season with the highest points in 2009/10 with 24 points from 77 games.
On July 2, 2011, Bradley signed a two-year contract with the Florida Panthers . He left the club after only a year and ended his active career after a brief stint at TuTo Hockey in Mestis, Finland. He has worked as a scout for Washington Capitals since 2015 .
